CARB
Abbreviation for California Air Resources Board, whose goal is to maintain air quality standards. A product that is CARB-exempt (or certified) means it has been tested and approved by the board for use in automobiles. Non CARB-exempt means either the part has not received approval or the testing is still pending.
Cold Air Intake
A replacement for a vehicle's stock intake system. Cold air intakes are designed to increase air flow into the engine, while also providing cooler air to the engine by drawing it from outside the engine bay.
Short Ram Intake
An aftermarket replacement air intake for vehicles. Short ram intakes increase the air volume being fed into the engine, thereby improving performance.
